The AccuSet Plus series image setters are the most reliable image setters ever made. There are several models.

Below is a brief descrition of each.

AccuSet 1000 Plus: The best selling and most popular Accuset. Outputs film or polesetr plate material at 1200, 2400 or 3000 dots per inch and can handle up to a 175 line screen, Its maximum width is 14 inches and since it’s a capstan image setter it has no depth limit. A new Harlequin rip is the preferred rip, there is also a less expensive rip called a Eagle. Both rips run on a Windows new PC platform.. Many of the AccuSet’s are running polyester plate material instead of film. The polyester plate material comes in a roll just like film. Poly plate gives the AccuSet new life as a excellent CTP (computer to plate) device.

AccuSet 800 Plus is the same specs amd exact same machine as the AccuSet 1000 except has manual cutter and is about 10 percent slower and will not image any higher then 2400 dots per inch.

AccuSet 1500 Plus , this is the fastest AccuSet model, but by far the least reliable. It has a expensive spin motor that fails more often the a regular AccuSet. It also has a vacum pump that is not in any other model.

AccuSet 1200 and 1400, these are older models that have built in postscript level 2 hardware rips. There are not many of these around, but they can be converted to accept a external rip like a Harlequin or a Eagle.
